Test assembly

Test assembly is an exciting moment as you test whether the main parts fit together on the boat bottom. I noticed a major mistake on placement of the centerboard hole but it was easy to fix with a plywood patch.

When you assembled the parts you notice how attention on accuracy is important in case of certain dimensions. Especially position and orientation of the centerboard trunk hole on the bottom is critical. Also dimensions of all the edges of parts, that are glued together, have to be well-matched.
