Stirrups

Since Scamp is a sailing dinghy, we have to accept the fact that it can capsize under certain circumstances. After a capsize, the crew has to right the boat and then climb aboard. Due to the high freeboard, getting back into the boat can be difficult. For this reason, the boat is fitted with stirrups to make it easier to get back into cockpit.
