Puruvesi is known for its vendace as well as for clear water. The sandy beaches at Salpausselkä ridges are well-available in this water area of Lake Saimaa.

The numerous sandy beaches and the clear water offer many fine destinations especially when it’s warm. As a water area Puruvesi is smallish but then that has its own charm.
