Päijänne

Päijänne is a fine long lake between Lahti and Jyväskylä. The landscape there varies from the sandy beaches of the south to the hilly terrain of the north.

From dinghy cruising perspective there are some very nice destinations in Päijänne, especially at Kelvenne island. If the wind blows lengthwise over the lake, the waves can grow in height.
